Forum for History Teachers
‘How to promote History in your School
and improve your History teaching’
Thursday, 23rd November at 7.30 in Waterford Teachers’ Centre
The format of the evening will allow for short [15 minute] presentations
and there will also be an opportunity for open discussion.
We will share resources from each of the short presentations.
Contributions from 4 practising teachers:
Layla Caulfield – Ideas for making History enjoyable for First years – Fun & Learning in the History classroom,
Thomas Ahern – How to link History learning outcomes in with ‘Wellbeing’ for the new Junior Cycle,
Niamh Crowley – Ideas and Resources to defend the position of History in the core of Junior Cycle in your school,
Angela Goff – Exploring interest in using Interactive Posters as a learning tool'–includes all types of learners and promotes learning outcomes for AOL & AFL.
