Founded in 1963, the History Teachers’ Association of Ireland is dedicated to the professional development of its members and to the advancement of History teaching at Local and National level.

Our aims:

• to support teaching, learning and enjoyment of History at all levels

• to develop resources for classroom teaching

• to share expertise, knowledge and skills amongst teachers

• to provide a forum for communication and ideas
